Independent container
FCL cargo refers to the complete occupation of a container by a single shipper, and the goods inside the container are usually only the cargo of that shipper. The container will be transported directly from the shipping location to the destination. There are no other shippers' goods mixed with it.
LCL stands for Less than Container Load, which refers to the transportation method where multiple shippers share a container. Each shipper only occupies a portion of the container, which is usually suitable for situations where the cargo volume is small and has not reached a full container capacity.
Shared Container
In LCL transportation, the goods inside a container are shared by multiple different shippers, each occupying only a portion of the container's space. The goods will be transported in batches according to the destination of each shipper.
Suitable for small quantities of goods
LCL is suitable for situations where the cargo volume is insufficient to fill a full container, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises or small batch import and export companies, which can reduce transportation costs
flexibility
LCL transportation provides greater flexibility, allowing shippers to transport small quantities of goods as needed without having to pay for full container transportation.
